These simulations go beyond simple branching to allow learners to explore the consequences of their decisions.

These push the boundaries of what was possible in Flash. There will be places where the emulator stutters or freezes.

Biomanufacturing

Ultrafiltration and Diafiltration are techniques used to concentrate and purify proteins. This simulation allows you to explore the effects of different parameters on the final product.

• This is an example of a Whole-Part-Whole teaching strategy. Learners get an overview of the process, dive into individual parts, and then work with it all together. This allow learners to explore the consequences of their decisions.
• Embedded questions promote learning by having learners for a working hypothesis and then test it.
• The simulation contains an embedded SCORM interface and only needed a simple wrapper to work with the LMS.
• The simulation was built in Flash and then converted to HTML5 using Ruffle. This allows it to run in modern browsers without needing a Flash plugin.
